The Last Days…..

Posted by | Life Blogs | No Comments

Let’s take a look at what Paul said was going happen in “The Last Days” those days after the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus and before the Second coming of Jesus. We’ll use 2nd Timothy Chapter 3 verses 1-5.

Verse 1: Know this, that in the last days perilous times WILL come!!

Verse 2:
We will be lovers of ourselves. It’s all about us and what we want to say and do with no consideration of others.
We will be lovers of money. Greed and doing whatever it takes to get what we want and desire, shoving others aside to accomplish the pleasures of life.
We will be boasters. Bragging about what we did or have done. Putting focus on ourselves with no care of others.
We will be proud. Chests will be puffed out and attention will be drawn to ourselves in order to show others what we have done.
We will be blasphemers. Talking about how much we love and respect God, yet not being obedient. We’ll do what we want with no regard to what God wants.
We will be disobedient to parents. Kids running amuck, doing what they want, with no respect for their parents. After all “It’s my life, I’ll do what I want to do” is what kids will think and do.
We will be unthankful. Things will be taken for granted with no regard to the blessings that God bestows on us.
We will be unholy. We will find other things to do on the Lord’s Day (Sunday) instead of going to Worship Services. We will say that we love Jesus, but will fail to do what He wants us to do.

Verse 3:
We will be unloving. The love for God isn’t there. The love for others isn’t there. We will think only of ourselves!!
We will be unforgiving. We will carry grudges never being able to say, “I’m sorry.”
We will be despisers of good. Doing the deeds of Satan instead of what God wants.

Verse 4:
We will be headstrong. We will do things our way and will not listen to suggestions of others or the commands of God.
We will be lovers of pleasures rather that lovers of God. This says it all!!

Verse 5:
We will have a form of Godliness, but deny His power. Paul says, “From such people turn away!!”

Take a look around the world you will see Paul was spot on with what he wrote to Timothy and us. The happenings of today have been going on for over 2000 years and they are not going to change. The things we can change are our mindsets, attitudes, and our wants. The book of James tells us to look in the mirror and take stock of who you are. If we need to make changes, then do it.

SMILE God loves YOU!! Have a good day all.

Which Wisdom Do You Have?

Posted by | Life Blogs, Uncategorized | No Comments

First off let’s define wisdom. Wisdom is an accumulated philosophic or scientific learning. It’s the ability to discern inner qualities and relationships: insight. It’s having good sense or judgement. It’s having a wise attitude and a wise course of action. It’s the ability to take your knowledge and be able to put it to use.

In the 3rd Chapter of James starting with verse 14 and following, James talks about two different types of knowledge. Verse 14 says, “But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.” Verse 15 says, “This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.” Verse 16 says, “For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and EVERY evil thing are there.” This wisdom gives a person the ability to get in trouble without being caught. It gives the ability to be the trouble without being chastised. It’s being “Street Wise” with no shame of what is going on or happening.  It’s a worldly wisdom that demonstrates evil and wrong doing and is completely  against what God wants, expects, and demands.

Verse 17 says, “BUT the wisdom that is from above is FIRST pure, THEN peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, FULL of mercy AND good fruits, WITHOUT partiality and WITHOUT hypocrisy.” Verse 18 says, “NOW the fruit of righteousness IS sown in peace by THOSE who make peace.” This wisdom gives a person the ability to take God’s Word and put it to good use. It gives us the ability to study God’s Word and understand what He wants from us. It gives us good sense and judgement. It gives us insight with a wise attitude and a wise course of action. It’s a Heavenly wisdom that lets us be the type of Christian person God wants us to be.

The question I would have at this point is: Are you filled with Worldly  wisdom or are you Filled with Heavenly wisdom? The choice is yours!! MAKE the right decision.

SMILE God loves YOU!! Have a good day all.
